Week 6
FEEDBACK:
The final logo is fine but do make 3 versions for everything, so you’ll have the full logo together, the brandmark and the wordmark all in 3 separate pages. For the logo in reverse, is relevant to clear space. For rationale, consider changing your body text. Minimum size as well, your logo should be in black and white and 3 separate versions. Do put some typesetting for the typefaces part, so can see better on how your fonts look like.
NEXT PLAN OF ACTION:
Refine my final logo and perfect all the parts for the submission.
Week 7
FEEDBACK:
Feedback for task 2 is out. Brand value is more like USP than values. Do go back and rethink your brand values. Keep it short. Needed visual reference slides before starting to do your mockups. Points need to be made in slides.
NEXT PLAN OF ACTION:
Make the slides.
Week 8 (Independent Learning Week)
FEEDBACK:
-
NEXT PLAN OF ACTION:
Continue working on the slides and refine some parts to make sure everything is okay. Also started to look for mockups in the internet to later edit my artwork into the merch.
Week 9
FEEDBACK:
Make sure your artwork is consistent throughout all your mockups, and the typography as well. For the mockups, no need to put it in your slides, create a folder in Google Drive and put it in there as a submission, but visual references are needed to make it into slides. For graphics, use something that is part of your brand identity. Consider adding a shopfront for environmental graphics to visualise how your shop will look like.
NEXT PLAN OF ACTION:
Make changes to my artwork based on the feedback and create folders in Google Drive.

Working on applying my logo to various applications such as corporate stationery, collaterals, digital presence, and environmental graphics has been both a rewarding and challenging experience. It required tons of approaches to ensure that the identity system I developed was seamlessly integrated into each design element, creating a cohesive and memorable brand presence.
Designing corporate stationery, demanded precision and a deep understanding of how the logo interacts with typography, layout, and colour. I had to consider factors like print quality, scalability, and how the logo would appear in different lighting conditions or on various materials. Ensuring consistency across all pieces while maintaining a professional aesthetic was no small feat. These materials are needed to communicate the brand’s essence effectively while standing out in a visually competitive space. I experimented with different compositions, graphic elements, and creative techniques to make sure each item was visually engaging yet aligned with the overall identity system.
Environmental graphics presented a different set of challenges. The logo needed to make a bold statement in physical spaces while harmonizing with the surrounding environment. I had to carefully balance the logo’s size, placement, and interaction with other elements in the space to create a strong yet aesthetically pleasing presence.
Overall, the process of designing for such a wide range of applications was incredibly time-consuming and required a lot of patience and problem-solving. Each medium brought its own challenges, and I had to constantly adapt my approach to ensure that the brand identity remained consistent and impactful. Despite the challenges, seeing my work come to life across various platforms and settings has been immensely satisfying, reinforcing the importance of a well thought identity system in making a brand truly stand out.
Applying my logo across various applications like corporate stationery, collaterals, digital platforms, and environmental graphics has been both a challenging and eye-opening experience. I’ve observed that maintaining a consistent identity system is crucial for creating a cohesive brand image, but it requires meticulous attention to detail. Each application demands its own adjustments to ensure the logo fits seamlessly while preserving its visual integrity. For instance, designing stationery calls for simplicity and elegance, while digital platforms require scalability and adaptability. Balancing creativity with practicality has been one of the biggest challenges, as each medium brings its own constraints and opportunities. I’ve also realized how important it is to think beyond aesthetics; every design decision must reflect the brand's values and message to stand out effectively. Despite the time-consuming nature of the process, it has been rewarding to see how a well-implemented identity system strengthens the brand's presence and resonates with its audience.
From this experience, I found that a well-executed identity system plays a vital role in establishing a strong and recognizable brand presence. Consistency across different mediums whether corporate stationery, digital platforms, or environmental graphics significantly enhances brand recall and professionalism. I also discovered that adaptability is key; the logo and brand elements need to work seamlessly across diverse applications, requiring flexibility in design without compromising the brand's core identity. Moreover, integrating brand identity into all touchpoints creates a unified and cohesive image that resonates with the target audience, fostering trust and recognition. This process highlighted the importance of understanding the nuances of each medium to make informed design decisions. While challenging and time-intensive, it emphasized how thoughtful design can elevate a brand's visibility and impact in a competitive landscape.
