Timeframe: Week 01 - Week 03
Description: You are to work as a group to present an innovative concept that introduces unique social, cultural, and/ or economic value to the intended target audience within your chosen field of specialization. You are to conduct research on current technology and design trends that influence and benchmark your area of specialization. Case studies with analysis reports on product/service functionality and effectiveness, technical innovations and challenges, aesthetics and design appreciation are required to support your new project proposal.
After I've found my own groupmates, we quickly settle down and discuss what we should do for our project. We don't need an icebreaker since we all had classes together the previous semester.
While we were discussing, Ms Vit suddenly suggested a board game which sparked our ideas and finally, we decided to go for a board game for our project.
First, we have 2 ideas.
1. A board game of valentines where players gets to play as a couple. There are levels of the board game for example, the first level is strangers where the players get to play games or ask questions to get to know each other, the second level is friends then third level talking stage and so on until the final stage.

2. A board game of a murder mystery, where the suspect and players get to play games and the players have to find out who is the suspect.
After discussing with Ms Vit and the groupmates, we decided to stick to idea 2. When we go home, we've opened up a Google doc so that everyone can put in their information before creating the presentation slides.
After we got all the information, we began with the presentation slides.
After presenting, Ms Vit told us that we needed to work on our problem statement as it was not fully explained. So I went home and edited that again.

REFLECTION
After several brainstorming sessions with me and my groupmates, we decided to create a board game that is inspired by Squid Game and the K-drama The Night Has Come. Our goal was to design a game that would captivate players while incorporating elements of strategy and teamwork. To develop our concept, we worked hard to research existing games with similar themes, analyze their mechanics, and identify what makes them engaging.
Throughout the process, we documented our ideas an findings in a shared Google Doc, which allowed us to contribute and refine our points collaboratively. This method ensured that everyone stayed aligned and could build upon each other's ideas effectively. Once we finalized our research and game concept, we transferred our notes into a structured presentation, carefully designing slides to clearly communicate our vision.
Overall, this task was both challenging and rewarding. It required strong teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity to develop an engaging board game concept. Woking together to bring our ideas to slide was a valuable experience, and I'm looking forward to working with my groupmates for the ongoing task.
