Task 1: Thematic Interactive Website Proposal
Timeframe: Week 01 - Week 04
Deadline: Week 04
Description: Thematic Interactive Website Proposal for Brand Engagement. It focuses on a specific theme or concept with the aim of incorporating interactive elements to interact with users. Most such websites utilize multimedia such as videos, animations, interactive graphics displayed on the page, or other clickable elements.
The topic I chose is Movie Promotion: The Maze Runner. I'll be introducing the characters.

REFLECTION
Experience
On my Advanced Interactive Design assignment, I first had to think of how I envision my website to work and what it should look like. There were two main goals for me, first of all, I wanted the site to be clearly structured and easy to navigate but still attractive to the eye. I decided to focus on the layout and the interactive items’ placement so that they both looked good and could handle their tasks.
Finally, I was interested in making a movie promotion website for "The Maze Runner". This allowed me to interject fascinating elements into the design with an emphasis on the film, as well as to present the principal characters. The second way was after getting feedback from my lecturer regarding the feedback that I had provided to my partner, I decided to work harder at ensuring that I had done a better job in the section where I introduced the character. This feedback was useful for me to better define what kinds of content to post on the site and how the information I wanted to convey to the audience would be presented in an organized and visually engaging manner.
Observations
For the process of website development, I noticed that how the structure of the website is to be planned is as crucial as the style of the website. To address this problem, it became almost immediately obvious when modelling how the website would look like in terms of design and how it would function were two very different things that could easily be confused. It made me pay close attention to wireframing and the navigation map, and to make sure that every page of the website and app was meaningful and that the user’s way through the site was smooth.
The second recovery was made was that there was provision of feedback in the process of formulating the final product. First, I had some concepts which I took into consideration to be included in the website, but as I was presenting my progress to my lecturer, I saw that I would be doing an introduction of the characters for "The Maze Runner" would add a lot of value for the users of the website. This made me understand that it is always important to be flexible and willing to change the ideas that I set up with the help of listeners’ remarks.
Finally, I realized that when it comes to using simple language it by no means equals to leaving no room for imagination. Indeed, by not complicating the design, I was able to draw the user’s attention to the specifics of the site, for instance, characters and plot, thus excluding superfluous details from the interfaces.
Findings
I realized that incorporating user-centered design is crucial in attracting the audience’s attention. At first, I thought only about the aesthetical aspect of the site, but then I understood that it is almost equally important to make the site run and navigate smoothly. They realized that if the layout is developed clearly by having a clearly underlined scheme and having brief content on the web page, it will work wonders for the users.
The other emergent issue was that character introduction pages are useful for creating engaging and immediate communication with viewers. Since organizing the site according to characters, it was easier to maintain a user’s attention and immerse him in the movie plot. It also revealed to me how storytelling could work as an important aspect of web designing.
In particular, I discovered that simplicity can go a long way. When designing, I tried applying styles and effects, but using them at the wrong places and at the wrong time I realized that applying minimal designs enhances core content to draw more attention and hence enhances the website’s aesthetic value and utilization. And finally, providing the right amount of visual elements and using a clean design that looks tailored purposefully was critical to making the design engaging while staying simple and comprehensible.
