fig 1.0 Major Project 2's MIB Week 1 (04/02/2026)
We first gather everything we have on hands at the moment and refreshed the memories of WHO 'RU.
We then discuss with Ms Vit and here is what we have to do:
- External decoration - start from where (footprint) to our exhibition
- Social Media - advertisemenet of our launch for our board
- Decoration
- Website
- Big size of our board on the floor with footprint? So people can experience our game. Get lost in the world of WHO 'RU?
We opened up a Google Sheet and organized everything that we have to do and who is responsible to do the task. We also open up a Google Doc to list down what we need for our project.
I'm in charge of the social media posts and the keychains.
Here I play around to see which one is better.
fig 1.1 Social Media Posts #Drafts Week 1 (05/02/2026)
Here is the poster for our Website. Which is done by Rafa.
Then we suggested we should change the font.
This is our banner. Done by Gracie.
This is our WHO 'RU packaging looks like with the dieline together. Done by Jo.
During week 3, we discussed with Ms Vit and she sketch out our feedback.
After I got a clearer version on how to design our social media posts, I get to work immediately.
Here is what I've created.
Week 3
Then here is our updated Board. Done by Jo.
Here is our sticker.
Here is our updated Card games.
During week 4, we had to get our design approved by Ms Vit so that we could start printing everything. We had our feedback session and so we immediately start printing the cards. Here is the dieline and the design of the cardbox.
We also tried to do laser cut just to make sure the size of our packaging is correct, we met Mr Sam and he gave us a little feedback indicate on the design of the packaging and also our banner. He suggested that the packaging should have a more 'game' like look, and our banner is not consistent with the packaging.
We decided to change our mascot into pyramid. I'm in charge of it and initially we wanted to build a dieline and stick and fold but i also thought of ways on how can we save space and also at the same time convenient, doesn't get damaged in the box. So I did a little bit of research and found a way.
I found a origami pyramid and can fold and flatten it, I start to experiment with different sizes to fit in our box.
Week 5
During week 5, we discussed the divider for our packaging to fit in all of our stuff that is included in the box.
FEEDBACK
Week 1: Should have external decoration, start from where (footprint) to our exhibition, social media, decoration, website. Big size of our board on the floor with footprint possibly, so people can experience our game, able to get lost in the world of WHO 'RU?
Week 2: Make sure the packaging for the board game is correct and the side can tape well (flap) for glue, double decker? plastic thingy to take out from the box so it look organized. The plastic thingy make sure is high enough to hold our products inside (hold in place). Illustrations needs to be consistent, needs to be the same angle, 3D then 3D the whole thing, the style and feels must be the same.
Week 3: Chinese New Year Holiday.
Week 4: Good progress, continue to print out the rest of your materials.
Week 5: All your physical products is good, decide on a identity for your website and you'll need to think of a company name for your product. Refine your poster.
Week 6: Find a balsa wood to stick underneath your divider compartment so its more stable and it will stop wobbling
Week 7: Refine everything and submit the slides
REFLECTION
Working on our game WHO 'RU? with Graciella, Rafa, and Jo was rewarding. Through this project, I learned a lot about design and the importance of teamwork. It took us almost one year to complete this project, and during that time we experienced many ups and downs, including several redesigns and challenges. Despite the difficulties, I feel extremely proud of what we have accomplished together. If I had the chance, I would definitely choose to go through this journey again with my team. And our friendship also gain deeper.
I would also like to express my gratitude to our lecturer, Ms. Vit, for guiding us throughout the project and constantly providing feedback that helped us improve our work. Because of her support and advice, I learned a lot from her experience in design. She was like our mother for us throughout this project, and we truly appreciate everything she has done for our team.
Seeing our project finally come to life made me feel very happy and fulfilled. This experience also taught me an important lesson: when working on a project, it is essential to always have a backup plan and to avoid making decisions too recklessly. Careful planning and preparation are key to ensuring the success of a project.
